Listen - I know he sounds a bit crazy (okay, maybe a lot crazy)...but I think there's a grain of truth to what he's saying. I've taken politics test (I'm sure you're familiar with the grid) after politics test, for this election and for many others, and I've always noticed the same thing: the leading political candidates are all relatively close in terms of their views, and my positions on issues are very different from all of theirs' - with the exception of maybe a few minor similarities, and even those are equally split among the political "left" and "right". I don't think its due to some conspiracy, but rather to the fact that the only truly "electable" candidates from either party have to be very close to center in order to have any chance at winning. This means that change happens by inches, if at all - which can be very, very frustrating to someone like me who wants to see the gears turn faster, but realizes that there is little, if any hope of seeing any type of dramatic political shift in my lifetime. For any political "outliers", like myself (and I really don't consider myself to be too far out there), our political system offers no real hope - no reason to trust or believe in it.
